Somehow managed to be more tired than when I went all the way to Toronto! But it was definitely fun and I had a great time seeing everyone I haven't seen and meeting new folks too!

It took very little time to get my badge, and the long setup hours were great since my friend and I could just slack around and do things at our pace hahaha. This year I ended up not really going to any activities outside of the Exhibition Hall, but I did act in one of the events, Otakuthon Turnabout as Franziska Von Karma. A couple of people told me that I played her really well, so that was great!

Thank you to everyone who came to my table to talk or oogle at what I had. Thank you doubly to those who made a purchase or commissioned me! I'll be emailing the latter soon, but not sure how soon since I'll be busy again prepping for another con >_< Still have two commissions to finish from AN too. (They are on my to-do list!)

I was able to go around a lot more to chat with artists, too! I hope I didn't forget anyone. I really need to keep a list of who I meet during the con haha!! Would have wanted to go see more folks, but eh, time didn't permit XD

We ended Sunday night at the Chinese hot pot in Chinatown with *Jiayi, ~Tigerfog, *Eranthe, ~shunjin, ~chou-chan, *YamiJay, and my awesome friend/helper! But it was a mistake to get half spicy broth and half regular. The spicy was hot as heeeeeeeeeeeeelll!!! I thought my tongue was going to detach and run away. We all ended up suffering through it though because if you left more than 200g of food uneaten, then they would charge you for an extra person XD Had some interesting conversations regarding *corn* too.

One of the best moments was getting my commissioned plushies from *pheleon. She did such an amazing job!!! OTL

OH! I almost forgot, for all the Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright fans, there will be Otakuthon Turnabout~ Otakuthon's version of Con Turnabout where lawyers from the game face off for justice right before your eyes! Anime-themed! There will be a show on Friday night and another one on Saturday Morning. I'll be starring in the second one Saturday, around 11:30 am ^__^ Please come encourage us~

In other news, I should be going to FanExpo for the first time! A bit eager, but also a bit nervous because the crowd there is comprised of fans of everything and not just anime XD Anyone have pointers for that?

OMGGGG I've been back since Monday at 4:00 am, but I was so tired these last two days that I've been putting off writing a journal

I had a blast, even more than last year because I was more prepared haha. Although waiting two hours--three quarters of which were under the burning sun--was not the funnest part of the convention XD I managed to go around a little bit more compared to last year. Didn't really attend panels and workshops, but toured most of the CM, CC, dealers room, and Gallery Momiji I also went to see my only convention activity The 404s' late night show Saturday evening (although we waited like an hour+ before we even got into the room because the Masquerade was right before and ended severely late x.x).

Thank you to everyone who came by my table to chat or just look around. Thank you doubly to those who bought something at my table/Gallery Momiji or commissioned me I'm getting ready to email those who got a digital commission!!

Saw many friends I hadn't seen in a while: *Eranthe, ~shunjin, ~chou-chan, ~ViviPink, ~perishing-twinkie.

I sat next to the lovely ~Angeeya who is HILARIOUS (and I forgot to give her my print as part of our trade OTL I'ma so sorryyyy I hate teardown, it's so stressful!! you can rob me anytime at Otakuthon you yaoi-loving girl who did 52 commissions over the weekend WTFBBQ, what stamina~). I also tried to say hello to artists I spoke with online: =reafu-fu, ~Airiemi, *Phoonty, ~5ammay, ~zanazac, *snowp, ~Mimiu78, *ladyjenise, *Kressymess, ~kai-shii, *Jiayi, ~TaiDaisuke.

Only managed to fit in a couple of print trades by the end. I am so slow at taking down my stuff . But I'll be at Otakuthon to fit in the trades I missed XD

As always, increased my Kapibarasan count by one. I now have three of them... latest addition is Mister-Baker-with-Bread-on-Mouth-san~ And I bought a lovely gothic costume from RQ;BL collection (Red Queen's Black Legion). Gonna wear it on Saturday to Otakuthon~!!

OMG ONLY 1 MONTH AND A HALF TO MAKE NEW STUFF. I have to watch Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero =_= *kicks own butt*

Thank you to everyone who passed by my table whether to make a purchase or just have a chat. My friends ~pinkviviz, ~Katsuke-artwork and =hinoraito were also there, so I got to see them again!

I had a lot of fun, but mostly I was surprised! I sold a lot of posters whereas in smaller conventions I usually sell more buttons. So yay!!   Might have been because I was one of the only print artists there. Most of the other artists had crafts. The highlight of my weekend was the couple who bought four posters, three of which were originals. Selling fanart feels good, but selling originals feels GREAT!

Still thinking if I want to return in 2013. My table was in a good location, right in view near the entrance, so we'll see how it all plays out next year!


I've also applied for Otakuthon 2012 in Montreal. Sent my payment, so just waiting for the final confirmation ^^

I managed to grab a table from FCFS system about two weeks ago, but was waiting to get the real confirmation that they received my contract and payment before making it official.

So I'll be returning to Toronto again during the weekend (+Friday) of May 25-27, which is actually just a day after my birthday haha (excellent gift!!). I will be sharing with a friend, and I'll probably be high on coffee because the hotel I took this year has breakfast included!! (won't be bloated hopefully, indigestion is bad...)

I'll have with me prints (various series & originals), buttons (coffee & tea set, smiley faces, Chi's Sweet Home), bookmarks (Chi's Sweet Home, Bleach, coffee & tea set, Vocaloid) as usual. Maybe some keychains, but will make that decision later. If there's something you'd really like to get from my gallery, let me know!

So who else is coming? Visitor or fellow artist? If you're sure to come, don't forget to preregister as there is a registration cap this year, and less than 5,000 tickets to go! EDIT: Oops, only 3,000 are left!!!

And that's a wrap for my first convention in 2012! I've actually been back since very-late Sunday "slash" midnight to 1:00 AM Monday (thanks to *Eranthe and her generous lift from Gatineau).

I had a lot of fun as always. Thanks to those who made a purchase(s), ordered a commission, or just stopped by for conversation. Smaller cons feel more hearty and people seem to linger and chat more than in bigger conventions, so it was nice to have that type of atmosphere again.

I met some nice folks like my neighbor ~linami whom I bought a snack surprise pack with. Also, ~perishing-twinkie was sitting somewhere behind my table. *Eranthe and *YamiJay were also around my section (and Elsa Les Créations... >.< but I don't know her deviantART). At the other side of the artist space were ~pinkviviz, ~Katsuke-artwork, ~shunjin, and ~chou-chan. So I got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a long time. It was good fun!

Also met ~tarahm, ~AuthenticEm and ~ladykaryann brieftly!

I'll try to go again next year in 2013 if I can But for now the next big X on the calendar is trying to get into Anime North >.<

Time to brave through the rest of winter!!

Cold weather is dropping by in Montreal and the surrounding areas. I'm going to have to dress warmly :< *tear* Hope there won't be too much snow this year. How do you get through the winter chills?

Recently I reread one of my favorite trilogies: Rose of The Prophet by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Better than I remembered, but (new) favorite character dies D: Nooo~ Also, possibly wisdom teeth erupting *PAIN*

I'm back from Otakuthon! Thanks to everyone who visited and double thanks to all those who bought from my table!!! I really appreciate your support!!

This year went surprisingly well for me. I'm trying to pinpoint if it was the fanart (I made a ton for AN and the Edgeworth pic for OTK), but whatever it was, I won't complain! One thing I did notice is that the crowd seemed a bit different this year. Things that I never sold before left in several copies, so I was very happy with that. Puella Magi Madoka Magica went well, as did Miles Edgeworth. Black Rock Shooter and Trigun were so-so compared to AN, much less hype over here. Also sold a couple of originals *squee!* Otherwise, I'm so dehydrated D: Everything exceeded my expectations by far, so I am very pleased.

Strangely, Friday and Sunday were the big rush days, whereas Saturday was running a bit slow O.O Most artisans/artists I talked to remarked this. I wonder why that was.

On the live organization side, things went great in Artisans' Space. I managed to have discussions with almost all of my artisans. The traffic flow was mostly constant for everyone, and several were thrilled by their experience.

As for guilty purchases... there were no good looking Kapibarasans this time. The one store that had any only had leftovers from AN, which I had already seen ;( Instead I got a small green octopus, a winter Mashimaro, and a duckie dressed as a toad. I bought two Trigun mangas from a dealer making crazy manga sales because he couldn't bring home his stock ($2 each!). Later, he just left the remaining ones there!!! I found one more Trigun and a Konjiki no Gash Bell! volume. So now I'm finally starting my Trigun Maximum collection YAY!!... Just 12 more to go D:

Hope everyone had a good time this year. Although on staff side we had some rough patches, I'm extremely thrilled at how things turned out despite that. Crossing my fingers that 2012 turns out well, although at this point I am not returning as staff for next year.
