Hey everyone! I'm going to be at Nadeshicon 2012 in the DEALERS' section (if there's a split, never been there XD). My friend offered me a spot at the last minute, so I decided to go for some adventure! This con is taking place April 21-22 in Quebec City, so if you have time and live close, drop by and have some fun :)

Will be there with prints, buttons, bookmarks, and (new product!) keychains!

Stop on at my table and say hello! I would love to meet you!

In other news, I'm finally playing FF7 and learning what all the hype is about XD ;_;

See you around~

I managed to grab a table from FCFS system about two weeks ago, but was waiting to get the real confirmation that they received my contract and payment before making it official.

So I'll be returning to Toronto again during the weekend (+Friday) of May 25-27, which is actually just a day after my birthday haha (excellent gift!!). I will be sharing with a friend, and I'll probably be high on coffee because the hotel I took this year has breakfast included!! (won't be bloated hopefully, indigestion is bad...)

I'll have with me prints (various series & originals), buttons (coffee & tea set, smiley faces, Chi's Sweet Home), bookmarks (Chi's Sweet Home, Bleach, coffee & tea set, Vocaloid) as usual. Maybe some keychains, but will make that decision later. If there's something you'd really like to get from my gallery, let me know!

So who else is coming? Visitor or fellow artist? :) If you're sure to come, don't forget to preregister as there is a registration cap this year, and less than 5,000 tickets to go! EDIT: Oops, only 3,000 are left!!!

*In other news: I am officially addicted to The Good Wife starring Julianna Margulies orz; also, not entirely sure on my opinion of the Black Rock Shooter TV Series yet*

And that's a wrap for my first convention in 2012! I've actually been back since very-late Sunday "slash" midnight to 1:00 AM Monday (thanks to *Eranthe and her generous lift from Gatineau).

I had a lot of fun as always. Thanks to those who made a purchase(s), ordered a commission, or just stopped by for conversation. Smaller cons feel more hearty and people seem to linger and chat more than in bigger conventions, so it was nice to have that type of atmosphere again.

I met some nice folks like my neighbor ~linami whom I bought a snack surprise pack with. Also, ~perishing-twinkie was sitting somewhere behind my table. *Eranthe and *YamiJay were also around my section (and Elsa Les Créations... >.< but I don't know her deviantART). At the other side of the artist space were ~pinkviviz, ~Katsuke-artwork, ~shunjin, and ~chou-chan. So I got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a long time. It was good fun!

Also met ~tarahm, ~AuthenticEm and ~ladykaryann brieftly!

I'll try to go again next year in 2013 if I can :) But for now the next big X on the calendar is trying to get into Anime North >.<

Time to brave through the rest of winter!!

Hi hi hi!

I'm leaving tomorrow for G-Anime! The dealer's room opens Saturday and Sunday. My table is M in the artist section. I'll have with me most pics from my gallery, Chi's Sweet Home buttons, and commissions on demand. If you are stopping by the convention, come by to chitchat! I would love to meet you!

See you next week ^^

I hope everyone is having a great holiday season regardless of what you celebrate! (or maybe just like me, celebrating time off from work lol)

Boxing week starts today! Are you planning to buy anything? Have you been waiting the whole season for that special something that is now on sale?

My not-so-resolution resolution this year will be to complete the first volume of REVOLT. I started working it last night. I hope the drive doesn't evaporate like it always does.

=Lolisoup made a journal to celebrate her watchers who have talent, so here's to perpetuating those good intentions :eager:

The point of the journal is to showcase some of my watchers who have made great progress throughout their artistic journey. Therefore please show me an older picture of yours and your best or most recent image. In addition, since the goal is to help other artists or aspiring artists improve their craft, please include a piece of advice you would like to share with others!

Include the following:

:bulletred:First/Old image
:bulletred:Latest/Best image
:bulletred:Your words of wisdom

*If you participate, please follow up in your own journal to highlight the talents of your watchers!

I think that =Lolisoup herself has made a huge deal of improvement in her style and coloring, so here's the first feature of this series ;)

Cold weather is dropping by in Montreal and the surrounding areas. I'm going to have to dress warmly :< *tear* Hope there won't be too much snow this year. How do you get through the winter chills?

Recently I reread one of my favorite trilogies: Rose of The Prophet by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Better than I remembered, but (new) favorite character dies D: Nooo~ Also, possibly wisdom teeth erupting *PAIN*

I'm back from Otakuthon! Thanks to everyone who visited and double thanks to all those who bought from my table!!! I really appreciate your support!!

This year went surprisingly well for me. I'm trying to pinpoint if it was the fanart (I made a ton for AN and the Edgeworth pic for OTK), but whatever it was, I won't complain! One thing I did notice is that the crowd seemed a bit different this year. Things that I never sold before left in several copies, so I was very happy with that. Puella Magi Madoka Magica went well, as did Miles Edgeworth. Black Rock Shooter and Trigun were so-so compared to AN, much less hype over here. Also sold a couple of originals *squee!* Otherwise, I'm so dehydrated D: Everything exceeded my expectations by far, so I am very pleased.

Strangely, Friday and Sunday were the big rush days, whereas Saturday was running a bit slow O.O Most artisans/artists I talked to remarked this. I wonder why that was.

On the live organization side, things went great in Artisans' Space. I managed to have discussions with almost all of my artisans. The traffic flow was mostly constant for everyone, and several were thrilled by their experience.

As for guilty purchases... there were no good looking Kapibarasans this time. The one store that had any only had leftovers from AN, which I had already seen ;( Instead I got a small green octopus, a winter Mashimaro, and a duckie dressed as a toad. I bought two Trigun mangas from a dealer making crazy manga sales because he couldn't bring home his stock ($2 each!). Later, he just left the remaining ones there!!! I found one more Trigun and a Konjiki no Gash Bell! volume. So now I'm finally starting my Trigun Maximum collection YAY!!... Just 12 more to go D:

Hope everyone had a good time this year. Although on staff side we had some rough patches, I'm extremely thrilled at how things turned out despite that. Crossing my fingers that 2012 turns out well, although at this point I am not returning as staff for next year.

Thanks to everyone who bought something from me or just came to my table just to say hi! I had a lot of fun. Anime North's Comic Market is really something awesome ^^

I bought another Kapibarasan plushie (plus a Kapibarasan purse...) to fulfill my obsession -_-

Hope everyone had as much fun as I did, and I'm crossing my fingers to go back in 2012!

I'm not very strong on journals it seems. Posting more than one per year is like... wow.

Ay, anyway, I started university again in September, and there just isn't enough time between school work, part-time job, and trying to finish chapter 1 of REVOLT! (you may remember this as "Revolt Against GOD", I changed it because the new version sounds more catchy and less blablablablabla) + other things D;

Here's a preview of that chapter for those who are interested: [link]

Other than that, I've been listening to a lot of EXIT TRANCE. It's great! It gives me a lot of ideas for scenes xD

I been wondering, is anyone still following Naruto? It seems to get worse and worse with every release, dunno what Kishimoto is thinking -_-

In other news... I've decided to work on my Naruto doujinshi again after listening to Toshio Masuda's tracks... (Naruto 1 soundtrack basically). They were just too epic -_- not like all this crap in Shippuden, makes it heavy and preachy instead of freeflowing and full of energy ugh. I decided to make things semi-alternate universe since the storyline doesn't seem to be going to way I want it to (like the 55% of fans who left the series, aha), so yes. Reworking on that along with some changes in the plotline.

Anywho if anyone's still reading my journals have fun and great summer to you

What the hell oO Seriously, what is up with all the pr0n on deviantART lately? I go and check the Manga/Anime>Digital Media>Drawings and bam, 5 loli/yaoi/shota/pr0n images (even a naked Sakura from Card Captor Sakura WTF PEDO, someone needs to call Christ Hansen). Are people just way more retarded and/or desperate lately or something? This is an art site (or at least it TRIES to be because there are so many RETARDS that the shit is starting to outweigh the good stuff), not some whack place for people to post things they fap to.

Some people... NEED TO STOP CORRUPTING DA. It's already pretty goddamn crappy with all of the snapshots/MySpace camshots, tracing, and art theft; we don't need more crap.

On another note, Jesus Christ, there are so many more ATTENTION WHORE, OMG GIMME PAGEVIEW WHORES OR 5 SECONDS OF GLORY ON THE FRONT PAGE WHORES!

It was a nice idea to take a bit of a break from this place, might have turned into some badass attention craver too. Sheesh. This is the Internet, please get some attention elsewhere? =.= But still funny as hell to read, some of the "kind" people on deviantART need to continue contributing to Encyclopedia Dramatica.
Hi everyone D: I know I haven't been very active lately. I'm not really inspired to draw anything at the moment to be honest. But Otakuthon is soooo close (in a month), I have like no new materials T_T Anyway, this is mainly a journal to talk about Otakuthon :|

This anime convention is happening in the Montreal area at Concordia Univeristy, so if you're in the area, drop by and join the fun. Convention dates are August 4&5 (Sat&Sun). Entrance fee is 20$ for both days.

For more information: [link]

I'll be at the convention on both days as Artist Area director and will be sharing a table with ~Yue-Xumeragi, so if you do get time to come, just give me a shout XD

Oki, time for work, have fun all!

Lawl. Seriously so much to do that it's making me really really really lazy and half-assed about everything. I had so much last week that I just wanted to bail, plus I got sick yesterday ._. or had symptoms, I seem to have recovered today though  WOOHOO.

Anyway, sorry for the lack of "life signs" and such. I'll try to be more active in the coming week (*has a break during the week of the 19th*).

So yeah, I haven't picked up a pencil to draw in days actually :( But will get to it sooner or later! Once my math class slows down a bit :P

Thanks for staying around!

EDIT: OMFG Orochimaru's voice actor is FEMALE AND IT'S HER ACTUAL VOICE!!! I swear, my friend and I were shocked at school when we were listening to the Naruto radio show O_O

~wikkedvenus might not dabble much with photo manipulation, but with a remarkable attention to detail and the subtlety of her realism she is able to evoke much from simply a pencil sketch. (Who watched that South Park parody about WoW? XD Hilarious! Too hilarious!!)

Once again, my mind just had to be able to read other people's thoughts, so now my doujinshi will lack some originality in some point >_> Yeah, you probably don't know what I'm talking about, but smart people will figure out the link with the most recent chapter of Naruto  *mopes in a corner*

Here's that game I was working on in one of my classes. The story is a bit childish, but like, yeah, I kind of didn't have time to make something WOWZING. ~Gigabowser666 put up with all my demands for programming and such, so he's great! Thanks pal! Remind me to take you out to lunch sometime! Check it out, and no, it's okay if you get so bored you wanna close the window. I wasn't meaning for it to be an epic of some sort >_> though it would have been nice: [link]

On another note, I found the results of the poll quite interesting, although a bit obvious ;) Out of the people who voted, 80% think in English! I guess that's to be expected, since dA is a mostly English-speaking website and so on. Still, it's nice to know that some of you speak so many different languages too. It's very interesting. Languages are quite a fascinating subject.

And now I shall spam you all with news of a great free MMORPG available for download! It's RAPPELZ! I've been playing it since we upgraded to a slightly better net (more bandwidth...), and it's fun! You can have pets :slow: Yay! Here's the link: [link] If anyone decides to join, comment or send me a note! I'm in the Yeti server.

Finals are coming up. I gotta start studying for that course I don't like >_> I get these great marks on the assignments and quizzes, yet this crap thing in the midterm! Aw well, I'll just need to... pass the final DX

Cheers!

I'll update the AoTM next time.

Hi ho! Does anyone know sites where I can find royalty free sounds? Like sound effects and/or music tracks. I will be needing some for my Flash project.

Also, do you know of any good and easy to use free programs for sound editing? For example, to make a voice deeper or higher in pitch without changing the length of the sound or other stuff. I have a program called Audacity, but uh being not that good with it, I haven't really learned how to manipulate it XD

Thanks, this is all for my Flash RPG project!
